Sometime last week, I had a moment. No, it wasn’t a light bulb moment and all of a sudden I had a brilliant idea…it was a moment where I got a touch weepy when I suddenly noticed how Little Tyke no longer looks like a baby. No more baby face, no more tumbling around clumsily and how fast he is starting to run.
It also hit me that I am no longer a spring chicken or so to speak. My body aches in areas that never had any problems before, as I said in my previous post, my feet also creak and croak, the lines around my forehead are getting deeper and another thing that I started to notice is my hair is thinning.
I’m shedding like a dog.
I easily recovered from post-natal hair loss with my first child but with Little Tyke, I don’t think my hair ever did come back the same way. You could easily find me by following the trail of hair that I was shedding.
About two months ago, I came across the opportunity to test RevivHair Hair Stimulating Serum* through BrandBacker and I quickly applied for the campaign. Initially, I was a little apprehensive because I didn’t get along with a facial serum by them (read review here) but since I’m already losing lots of hair, I thought what’s the worst that can happened? I was super excited to be accepted for the campaign and have been religiously testing this hair serum for more than a month and read on to find out if it helped or did I manage to lose all my hair and am currently wearing a wig.
There is a huge ton of science that goes behind this serum so I am not going to blast your brains out with posting all the details in this post or it would be very, veryyyy long however, click here to read about the key ingredients and what each of it does. You also get the full ingredient list by clicking on that link. RevivHair Hair Stimulating Serum* comes in a 60mL dark violet plastic bottle and it has a dropper. The good thing is the dropper actually touches the bottom of the bottle instead of suspended half way. I hate those because it makes it almost impossible to reach the last quarter of the remaining product. The serum itself is a clear gel without any noticeable scent, well at least none that my nose could detect. It’s like a thick gel when it was first dispensed but as I massaged it into my scalp it felt very light, almost watery and it absorbed within 15 seconds or so. I have been using roughly half a dropper full of product 4-5 times a week and the way I do it is to dispense the product directly onto my scalp after towel drying my hair and massaging it into the scalp. It doesn’t make my hair feel sticky, actually it doesn’t leave any residue on my hair at all. It also didn’t cause any dandruff or irritation to my scalp and forehead. I didn’t notice any major hair growth as I personally think I would need more product and time to actually notice that. I did however notice my hair loss has lessened a whole freaking lot! Before using this product, I would lose 30-50 strands of hair each time I washed it (yes, I actually counted) but after more than a week of adding this serum into my hair routine, I lost at most 10-15 strands each wash. The difference is remarkable! The downside, the price is not the cheapest at $103.00CAD (on sale now for $64.00CAD). And just to give you an approximation on how long a bottle of the serum will last you, I still have slightly more than half bottle to go after using it 4-5 times per week for roughly one and half months. Depending on the severity of your hair loss and how weak your hair is, I do recommend giving RevivHair Hair Stimulating Serum* a try. I would probably start using it twice a week after this and will report back if using it less causes my hair loss to come back. Are you familiar with RevivHair Hair Stimulating Serum*? What are your tips for curbing hair loss? *I received this product for free but my thoughts and opinions are 100% unbiased, honest and my own. There is no place for any sort of BS here.
