I’ve always been proud of my dedication to body care. If you meet me in real life, you will notice that I have the softest and smoothest skin and it never ceased to amaze my friends. Well, genetic definitely has a lot to do with it (seriously, you will need a magnifying glass to spot my body hair) but that aside, I have to credit my mum for chasing me around the house trying to slather body lotion all over me ever since I was a wee little one.
Frankly, I hated the feeling of lotion on my body and I couldn’t comprehend why my mum insisted on applying it but now that I am older (not-so-much-wiser though…), I am thankful she instilled the habit in me.
Graydon Intimacy Oil is one of the latest products from the brand that arrived my doorstep and is anyone even surprised that I abso-freaking-lutely love it? The aesthetic itself is very pleasing; the white packaging shows sophistication and class and the product is housed in a plastic bottle with a pump. I have to quickly mention the pump as it doesn’t spray like most body oils that I have tried, instead, it disperses a tiny stream so the oil doesn’t spritz everywhere. Kudos Graydon!
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isopropyl Myristate, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Silybum Marianum Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Squalane, Tanacetum Annuum Flower/Leaf/Stem Oil, Triethyl Citrate, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Leaf/Seed Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract, Cucumis Melo Cantalupensis Fruit Extract, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Limonene, Linalool, Citral
A look into the ingredient list makes the beauty enthusiast in me do the happy dance. There is no denying that Intimacy Oil contains lots of good, actually, it only contains good things. Things that I would describe as skin food. It’s rich with antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamins which aims to hydrate, nourish, protect and repair the skin. Its usage is not limited only for the body as it can also be applied to hair, face and cuticles; it’s the perfect all-rounder.
The presence of Blue Tansy is apparent as the oil itself is blue in colour and I detect the scent (and a hint of earthiness) during application. Rest assured that the smell doesn’t linger and it dissipates as I massage onto the skin.
The oil itself is lightweight, smooth and absorbs quickly. I must admit that I initially sceptical about it being hydrating enough especially in Autumn and I am happy to report that it’s more hydrating than most of my body lotions and creams. It leaves my skin soft, smooth and hydrated and there are no signs of dryness on my shins or elbows at the end of the day.
Just how much I adore Graydon Intimacy Oil? It has successfully dethroned my previous holy grail, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Oil. I find Intimacy Oil to be more hydrating, the texture is smoother, more luxurious and lightweight and most importantly, a dreamy ingredient list.
If you are someone who hates the feeling of product on your body then you are guaranteed to love this. It’s a hydration powerhouse that feels like nothing and your skin will thank you.
Graydon Intimacy Oil retails for $43.00CAD (100mL) and is available for purchase through www.GraydonSkincare.com and www.Well.ca (currently on sale for $38.70CAD). *Gifted but my thoughts and opinions are 100% unbiased, honest and my own. There is no place for any sort of BS here.
