Another week, another day in survival mode…I jest, frankly I am starting to see self-isolation in a very positive note. I treasure these moments as I am spending such amazing quality time with family especially with Little Tyke. It’s fabulous to spend my time with him without any distractions; work, phone, social circles, etc and I feel that our bond is stronger than ever.
Anyhoot, let’s chat about the star of today’s show, Reversa Retin[A]list Cream* which contains 0.3% Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid. I have been testing this product since February and am ready to share my thoughts on it. And guys, this is a really good one.
Ingredients:
WATER/EAU, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, PROPANEDIOL, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, CETEARYL ISONONANOATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, CETOSTEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN, CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, HYDROXYPROPYL STARCH PHOSPHATE, RETINOL, ARGININE, HYDROLYZED HYALURONIC ACID, TASMANNIA LANCEOLATA FRUIT/LEAF EXTRACT, TOCOPHEROL, CARRAGEENAN, XANTHAN GUM, CITRIC ACID, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, POLYVINYL ALCOHOL, HYDROXYMETHOXYPHENYL DECANONE, POLYURETHANE CROSSPOLYMER-1.
The texture is a lightweight yellow emulsion (lighter than lotion) that absorbs quickly without any greasiness or residue. It does have a slight scent to it which I can best describe as retinol…if you use a lot of retinol products then you’ll know what I mean. I love that it’s packaged in an opaque plastic airless pump bottle which helps to preserve the product inside.
I was a little confused about it being a moisturizer (due to the word cream) or a serum but was informed that it’s used as a serum which makes complete sense as it’s not hydrating enough for the last step in my routine. I have been using it 3-4 times a week and it never caused any irritation or redness. That said, my skin is used to retinol so the effect might differ from others. This serum is not something that produces instant results on the skin as I started noticing differences after 3 weeks. My pores are looking smoother, the fine lines are softer and my skin looks fresher, healthier and radiant. Verdict: If you are looking for a decent price and gentle retinol serum that truly delivers results, I highly recommend checking out Reversa Retin[A]list Cream. It retails for CA$60 for 50mL, has great ingredients (retinol, humectant, vitamins & antioxidants WITHOUT added fragrance) and comes in fabulous packaging, you really can’t go wrong with it. *Gifted but my thoughts and opinions are 100% unbiased, honest and my own. There is no place for any sort of BS here.
