The blogsphere is currently flooded by a gazillion new years resolution posts, may it be about leaving negativity or toxic people behind or hitting the gym and eating healthier, almost everywhere I click it’s about determination and resolutions.
Personally I have never been one who is on the new years resolution bandwagon as I have always changed whenever and however I want but it’s definitely interesting to read about others. Since you lovelies will never ever see a new years resolution post from me, I thought I would share a list of skincare and makeup brands that I plan to explore in 2017.
Again, this post is far from original as you’ve probably seen at least a million of them by now but I hope some of you would be kind enough to leave suggestions if you are familiar with any of the brands.
SKINCARE
I blame Siobhan (say hello here) for fuelling my curiosity for this Hungarian brand. She’s the one blogger who has sung high praises for several of Omorovicza products with some holding a holy grail status for her. We both share similar skin types and concerns so I have no doubt that I will love the products too…as for how my wallet will fare by the end of 2017? Well, that would be a completely different story.
There are two products from Dr. Jart+ that are on the very top of my list to try, the cult favourite Ceramidin Cream and Ceramidin Liquid. Both seem to be heaven sent for dry, dehydrated skin aka my skin type so they need to be mine soon.
Frankly there are only three products that are on my list to try; Luna Sleeping Night Oil, Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream and finally, Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm. I’ve read so many amazing reviews on the products with many bloggers swearing by them, I just need to experience them myself.
I swear by REN EverCalm Global Protection Day Cream and recently fell head over heels in love with the Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask so I am eager to try more from the brand. What I love most about REN is that the price range is reasonable and won’t immediately send me to the poor house.
This is a brand that reminds me of my childhood as my mum solely used this brand for many years. My dad used to work for a Japanese company and he often shopped for Shiseido for my mum whenever he was in Tokyo. And I get employee discount of 20% because the store I work in sells Shiseido. 🙊🙈
MAKEUP
Because I have a penchant for pain…
Technically I am not new to this brand as I have a couple of lipsticks, an eyeliner, blusher and my holy grail mascara is from Marc Jacobs Beauty however I want to explore more from the brand specifically the eyeshadow palettes and contour duo.
Frankly there is only one product that I am dying to try from this brand, the Terracotta 4 Seasons Contour and Bronzing Powder. My obsession with getting my hands on it started after watching Karima McKimmie gushing about it. What can I say, she’s my beauty kryptonite….
No, I’m not a professional makeup artist but there is something about this brand that absolutely intrigues me. I am blown away by the quality of Theory II Palette (Minx) that I recently purchased so I am dying to get my hands on the Neutral Matte Palette.
Last but not least, I have a long list of products that I want to try from Giorgio Armani Beauty. The lipsticks, liquid lipsticks and foundations have been in my Sephora Love list since early last year but I honestly couldn’t bring myself to purchase any. I hope to try at least one product from the brand this year, fingers crossed.
